It could be one of several methods, some providing better visual approxmation of the orignal video stream at the expense of GIF LZW compression levels or optimised custom palette with no dithering that is often not as visually similar to original but is far more LZW compressible. It's a simple enough program to use but has a few significant limitations (in my opinion) first significant limitation is not being able to specify the palette algorithm used when rendering prior to GIF frame generation. SO installing and registering this version invalidates previous verisions registered status.
